David Perez President and Chief Executive Officer
David Perez guides the strategic direction, execution and growth of CaridianBCT. He also drives the company's mission to improve lives through innovation, quality and services delivered by CaridianBCT’s people, products and processes in blood component technologies.
A dedicated and active industry leader with nearly 30 years of experience within the medical device and health care industries, Perez also lends his expertise to numerous boards and councils. He serves the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) on the board of directors and on the Executive Committee, chairing both the Technology and Regulatory Affairs Committee and the Blood Products and Technology Sector. Perez is also chair of the board of trustees for the National Blood Foundation (NBF); a member of the NBF Council on Research and Development; and a board member of both the Foundation for America's Blood Centers® and the Colorado BioScience Association.
Prior to joining CaridianBCT in 1999, Perez held leadership positions at UroTherapies Inc., Haemonetics® Corp., Caremark LLC, Coram Healthcare Corp. and Kendall. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Texas Tech University.

Katie MacWilliams Chief Financial Officer
As chief financial officer, Katie MacWilliams has worldwide responsibility for all finance functions at CaridianBCT including Accounting, Reporting and Control, Forecasting, Planning and Analysis, Commercial Finance, Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit. She also serves as corporate liaison with the Terumo Corporation, aligning budgeting, forecasting, month-end and quarter-end reporting processes, strategic plan financials and all other financial matters including meeting Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
MacWilliams' expertise spans corporate finance, capital markets, international business and Sarbanes-Oxley Act implementation, as well as mergers, acquisitions and business integration. In addition to her work at CaridianBCT, MacWilliams also serves on the board of directors and chairs the Audit Committee responsible for a family of mutual funds.
Prior to joining CaridianBCT, MacWilliams held leadership and financial management positions at Molson Coors Brewing Company, the Union Bank of Switzerland and the First National Bank of Chicago. She earned her master's degree in business from the University of Michigan and her bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois.

Stacey Jo Kirkland Chief Administrative Officer
As chief administrative officer at CaridianBCT, Stacey Jo Kirkland leads the Human Resources, Learning and Development, Corporate Administration, Information Technology, and Corporate Marketing and Communications departments.
With expertise in identifying business issues, building high-performance teams and implementing tactics to improve organizational performance, Kirkland is responsible for the successful integration of programs, processes and company values within CaridianBCT.
Prior to joining the company, Kirkland was chief information officer and senior vice president at Gambro Healthcare Inc. She also held leadership positions at Life Partners Group, Denver's Saint Joseph Hospital and OEA Inc. A registered equipment manager with the U.S. Air Force, she was honorably discharged in 1985. Kirkland earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Columbia College.

Scott Larson Senior Vice President, Legal, and General Counsel
Scott Larson has served as senior vice president, legal and general counsel for CaridianBCT since 2007. As such, he serves as chief compliance officer, and is responsible for managing the general legal, compliance and Intellectual Property teams while also participating in various government affairs efforts.
Prior to joining the company, Larson served as senior associate general counsel for Amgen Inc., supporting the commercial law function for its Nephrology business area and its Canadian operations. He has also served as general counsel for Gambro Healthcare Inc. and Coram Healthcare Corp. Larson began his career with Alston & Bird LLC in Atlanta.
Larson earned his juris doctor from the Vanderbilt University School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Augustana College.

Bob Cole Senior Vice President and General Manager, Blood Bank Technologies (BBT)
As senior vice president and general manager of the BBT business area for CaridianBCT, Bob Cole oversees the global commercial operations of Automated Collections, Whole Blood Processing and Pathogen Reduction Technologies, including Sales, Marketing, Corporate Customer Service and Technical Support. He is responsible for forming, implementing and leading the overall strategic direction and commercial operations within these business areas.
Cole joined CaridianBCT in 1987 and has held numerous leadership positions within corporate finance, U.S. sales, business integration, global marketing and corporate strategy.
Prior to joining the company, Cole held financial responsibilities at Stearns-Catalytic, and served at Arthur Andersen & Co. as an auditor. He earned his master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Northern Colorado and his bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Shippensburg State College.

Tom Jordan Executive Vice President, Global Commercial Operations
As executive vice president of Global Commercial Operations, Tom Jordan is responsible for the strategic direction and successful execution of CaridianBCT’s Blood Bank Technology, Hospital and Biotech customer segments and the corresponding business areas. In this role, he leads the Planning, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Regulatory, Commercial Finance and Medical Liaison programs and multiple product development platforms.
Jordan’s experience uniquely combines strong strategic leadership with a broad range of international experience in the health care industry—particularly in the therapeutic application of medical devices, and in the pharmaceutical and molecular diagnostics markets. Prior to joining the company, Jordan served as chief commercial operations officer at Clinical Micro Sensors Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola. He also has held leadership positions at Baxter International Inc. and Global Healthcare Exchange LLC.
Jordan received his bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance studies from the University of Iowa. He is a dual citizen of Germany and the United States.

Craig Rinehardt Senior Vice President, Global Operations
As senior vice president of Global Operations for CaridianBCT, Craig Rinehardt is responsible for manufacturing, supply chain management, and quality and compliance oversight.
With more than 25 years of experience in medical devices and blood banking, Rinehardt has held a variety of senior management positions at CaridianBCT focused on continuous improvement and manufacturing. Prior to joining the company, he served as chief manufacturing executive for the mid-America division of the American Red Cross, where he championed standardization across the organization, increasing productivity, compliance and cash flow. He also established the American Red Cross Six Sigma program nationally. Before his tenure there, Rinehardt held various senior management roles within Thermo Electron and Abbott Laboratories. Rinehardt earned his bachelor's degrees in molecular biology and bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has served as such on numerous projects.

John Grosh Senior Vice President, Product Development, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs
As senior vice president of product development, John Grosh is responsible for the research and development of innovative, high-quality products across all of the CaridianBCT business areas. He also leads scientific and lab management, regulatory and clinical affairs and innovation management.
Grosh joined the company in 2009, with more than 25 years of experience in technology management, new product development and introduction, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain management. This includes serving as principal for Grosh Management Consulting, where he worked primarily with biotech and medical device organizations. He also served as general manager and vice president of Fisher Scientific/Thermo, with full profit and loss responsibility for all functional aspects of globally dispersed lab equipment and consumables businesses, including the new product development organization.
The holder of numerous patents, Grosh earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of California, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Ohio State University.

Hiroshi Nagumo President, Japan and APAC, Terumo Transfusion
As president of Terumo Transfusion, Japan and the Asia Pacific, Hiroshi Nagumo is charged with leading direct sales, marketing and services and overseeing APAC business operations. He also serves on the board of Terumo’s Joint Venture in India (Terumo Penpol Limited).
With more than 26 years with Terumo, Nagumo has extensive experience in sales and marketing leadership. In previous roles he directed operations in Germany for Terumo Europe, managed medical products—including hospital disposable products—for a pan-European market, and worked with wound care products for Terumo-BSN Japan KK.
Nagumo earned his bachelor’s degree from Dokkyo University in Japan.

Vincent Gaspar Vice President and General Manager, EMEA
As vice president and general manager, EMEA, Vincent Gaspar oversees CaridianBCT’s strategic direction and growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has full profit and loss responsibilities and directly manages the commercial operations, sales, customer service and technical support, and the distributors markets in those regions.
Gaspar has more than two decades of experience in sales, marketing, leadership, management and commercial development in the medical device and health care industry. Before joining CaridianBCT in 2008 as director of sales for the EMEA region, he worked for Kimberly-Clark’s health care division, serving as general manager in EMEA and before that, as general manager of global strategic marketing and global commercialization. He previously has held sales leadership responsibilities at Tyco Health Care (now Covidien), Valleylab-Pfizer and Beckman-Coulter. A Belgian national, Gaspar earned his bachelor’s degree in biotechnology with special focus on immunology from Catholic University Louvain in Belgium.
