As donor deferrals continue to rise, your blood bank needs to maximize blood donations from a shrinking donor base. The Trima Accel automated blood collection system helps optimize donations by collecting flexible combinations of blood components. You manage component selection based on each donor's characteristics and your daily inventory needs. By using this automated blood collection technology, blood components are leukoreduced and ready to store, with minimal extra product handling necessary.

Greater components-per-procedure productivity

Unlike whole blood collections, the automated collections possible with the Trima Accel Collection System means you pick and choose what to collect from an individual donor. It automatically calculates what combination of components are safe to collect from a donor. All you have to do is select which combination you want to collect. The Trima Accel Collection System does the rest. Compared to whole blood and platelet apheresis collection, the Trima Accel Collection System offers greater collection flexibility, so you can decide what components to collect based on the blood center's daily needs.

Donor safety and optimized collections

To make decisions about what to collect and what procedures are safe for donors, the Trima Accel Collection System uses a unique, proprietary technology, the Safety Box. This configurable donor safety system lets you optimize component collections while maintaining donor safety as your top priority. It analyzes individual donor physiology to determine what collections are safe, with blood bank-defined limits for total volume collected, platelet post count, post hematocrit, and procedure time. All you have to do is choose which combination of components you wish to collect from the donor.
