Blood collections: The Trima Accel Collection System is the first system to collect all three blood components — platelets, plasma and red blood cells — from a single donor in a single collection. Using the Trima System, your blood center can change your blood collection strategy to collect the blood products you need when you need them. Additionally, we are continuously enhancing this technology to accomodate trends in blood safety and improve ease-of-use.
Therapeutic apheresis and cell therapy: The new Spectra Optia Apheresis system is your next generation apheresis system that delivers COBE® Spectra system confidence and is designed to enhance versatility, performance, and patient care. Apheresis procedures are used to treat patients with a wide variety of disease states.
Blood Center operations: The Vista Information System integrates and automates the complex processes and manages data associated with the collection and processing of blood products. Starting with donor recruitment and continuing to other areas of the blood center, using the Vista System, your staff will spend less time processing paperwork and more time with donors.
Cell separation: The Elutra Cell Separation System provides cell enrichment, depletion, concentration and washing in one functionally-closed system. It delivers predictable results for monocyte enrichment directly from leukopheresis products. This laboratory tool separates cells into multiple fractions, helpful for emerging medical investigations.
Whole blood processing: The Atreus System provides a self-contained, automated manufacturing system to process blood components from whole blood. The OrbiSac System simplifies whole blood buffy coat processing, automating each step that today you perform manually — pooling/rinsing, centrifugation, expression, filtration, and sealing. The OrbiSac System is not for sale in the United States.
Cell processing: The COBE 2991 Cell Processor provides reliable, automated cell processing, with the control you need to get reproducible results in your lab. This versatile machine offers users reliability and multiple application flexibility.
Blood safety: Mirasol Pathogen Reduction Technology, a product in development from Navigant Biotechnologies, improves blood safety by reducing the pathogens found in collected blood. It is the first single technology that inactivates pathogens in all three major blood components — platelets, plasma, and red blood cells. We are providing other component safety solutions including leukoreduction and sampling sets for bacterial testing.
